Our Vision for VoteHer Georgia
VoteHer seeks to increase the number of women participating in the political process. We encourage, engage, and educate women in Georgia to participate in politics through voting, advocacy, running for elected office, and serving on community and government commissions and boards.
Why Now?
As we watch the current political environment, we are aware of the need for strong, quality candidates who represent core American values. We need these women to become engaged and involved in the political arena. We also recognize that fewer women run for elective offices and serve on boards and commissions. Women need encouragement to participate in politics and particularly to seek political office. Once women are engaged and even decide to run, they face several obstacles in their candidacies and successes. At VoteHer Georgia, the focus will be on removing the roadblocks, providing mentorship, and education to allow those who are interested in serving to do so without unnecessary challenges.
